I usually end up bashing and spoiling the rc's I have, here is the rough and tough 4x6 midnight pumpkin I made

the losi mrc arrived today, just waiting for the batteries to charge and lets start wheeling!

They now have losi micro crawlers out, would probably be perfect for the small sj model bodies

How are you enjoying it ? You will find it will handle better with weight in the wheels (more in the front) and the battery mounted on the front servo.

The Micro Crawlers are to big for the SJ model unfortunatley. Its the reason I dragged my mini z out just to try  So I stuck a G Wagon body on instead,

I love it! its brilliant fun! I have moved the battery to the front axle so far, moved the speed controller to the back axle, changed to my old radio gear as I prefer stick controllers and lowered the body. I also have a few upgrades coming in the post and an SJ body  might have to do a scale version of my suzuki

here's a few pics

Cool little cars ar'nt they. I also have a SJ body on its way  But want to do it with roof off so will take a while to build interior ect.
The other cheap mod worth doing is to fit weights in the wheels. Its a PITA because the beadlocks are only for show so you have to remove one side (best on the inside) then remove the tyre bead I used a scapel so you can fold the tyre over out of the way. Then add some weight to the rim, strips of lead are ideal or If I remember correctly 5g stick on 1:1 wheel weights fit, I always put a wrap of insulation tape round to make sure it all stays in place, check the tyre can still breathe through the vent holes. Reglue tyre and fit beadlock and see the difference its really worth it.

I you make it to Portland I should have my MRC based anus with me and I can chuck my crawler version in to so you can have a paw over them. Let us see some pics when you have fitted all your new parts.
