Re: SCUK euro/malta epic road trip - home made bio-ethanol??
I'm really up for this. Imagine it, a load of UK reg Suzukis, all from the same club, descending on Malta. But be prepared, and I don't just mean spare parts and a jerry can. Not sure about Italy but France (bless 'em the cheese eating surrender monkeys) have odd rules. Warning triangle, reflective vest and spare bulbs must be carried at all times. Probably spare onions and garlic as well. If we go late spring and plan to camp out then a 3 season tent would be a good idea...not sure about setting up camp fires in the middle of nowhere so maybe a small heater for the tent might be a good plan. And let this not be a Top Gear mission...if someone breaks down (and they will) we help. I plan to take a mate of mine in the LJ, so that will split the fuel costs in half. And the two ferries! I suggest we make a list of who wants to go and when. Pack spares, whatever you think you'll need to cover a very long journey and don't forget you have to drive back as well.
This could be epic.

There are companies here that will ship the car back to UK and visa versa for around 500 euro... so you dont HAVE to drive back

Re: SCUK euro/malta epic road trip
I was thinking about this trip today. I think we should start thinking about setting a date (even if it's just a provisional one for now) otherwise we run the risk of never actually doing this thing.
And I really really want to drive to Malta and back!
