Hi From South Wales

Post by Andy_GV_V6_2.5 » Tue Nov 25, 2014 10:42 am

Hi All,

Just wanted to say I seem to have found a great Suzuki forum to visit after looking for a good one for some time. My name is Andy and 2 weeks ago we, (GF and I) bought a Grand Vitara V6 2.5 on a 'W' 2000 Plate, MOT'd 2 days before we bought it with no advisories and 99,500 miles and WE LOVE IT!!!! already. What a difference after driving around in a clunky, tinworm covered and unreliable Nissan Terrano 2.7TDI for the last year and a half  I hope I have made the right choice with the GV as what we want for the moment above all is a lot of reliability and hardly any spending for a while :D . Love reading the posts here already and the members here seem to be a very friendly and helpful bunch of people! Just what's needed. I would imagine you will see a few post from me here and there, including one or two straight away as there are a few things I would like to know about the GV we have and there are one or two potential issues that will need looking at at some point. Just hope they're not too expensive or the GF will slap me one as I chose that useless Terrano lol.

Regards,

Andy ;)

Welcome to the club
I hear the most important thing with the V6 is to keep the engine oil changed regularly to keep
the cam chains healthy.
Fire away with any questions, somebody will normally try to help ;)

:welcome: to :suzuki: club UK

What Darrell said, for best results use good oil like magnatec (nothing cheap) and a genuine Suzuki oil filter.
