I did not think of this.

So now I need to add Merc TRE's to my list of parts and mod my steering as I want to get my SJ on the road, and I'm using a Merc steering arm high-steer kit.

And I've *just* bought new TRE's!

Anyone need some zuk TRE's?

Ho-hum. Still, at least this comes to light now, not at 70mph on the M25...

I need to find a solution to my steering setup. Iv emailed Rob Storr about his high steer kit.

What are the other options available? Mercedes steering arms and linkages?

What exactly needs doing to the Mercedes steering arms to fit them to the calliper mounts?

Then do I need to find some matching TRE's to fit into the original SJ steering links?

You need to burr the rear (outer) bolthole as they don't *quite* match up.

The zuke TRE's fit, but the merc ones would be a perfect fit, where the zuk ones apparently have a slightly different taper to them.

Then you also have to modify the drag link because it's now too wide.
