@turbo-tom

That's the one! Here it is just after they delivered it:

You lucked in there my friend! It looked smart but was good for scrap.

Now though I think it's pretty decent! It's probably ended up costing me quite a lot but at least it's now a good vehicle!

Sounds like you had some bad luck with the SJ when you bought it :thumbdown: unfortunately it seems to be the way with alot of them, it's hard to find one that hasn't got some sort of bodge on it.

What do you mean by RH upright? if a steering knuckle then I should have a spare one in the workshop?

This is the show we are going to http://forum.suzukiclubuk.co.uk/vi ... 21/t,6688/ would be cool if you could make it, it's quite a drive but we have a small convoy going up from this area.

Ha ha, I don't mind the odd bodge but this had clearly been cobbled together to rip someone off on ebay!

As I say though I think it's getting pretty close to being fairly well sorted out now apart from the odd bits and pieces.

Yeah I guess steering knuckle is what I mean. I'm not used to 4x4 parts phraseology yet! If you have one you don't mind parting with let me know how much you want for it. I think they're 410 axles, I'm not sure if that makes any difference?

I have commitments on that Saturday already so may not be able to do it. I'll let you know if I can though as it looks like it would be good fun.

The steering knuckles are the same on all SJ axles, ill be able to tell you what your axles are off when I see the truck in person :thumbup: it's all good, I've spent all my life playing with 4x4s and not road cars so I'm the opposite :lol:

We'll go to a few shows / offrooad weekends throughout the year so if you can't make this one I'm sure there will be more that you can get to :doublethumbs:

Was going to say if I end up being stuck in the workshop all weekend you'd be more than welcome to pop over for me to have a look at your SJ and prop issues if I don't get a chance to make it over to you :thumbup:

Are you lot breeding them in the south west?

Congrats on the rebuild job bud. Glad to see you never gave up and saved her from the scrap man. Unfortunately there are plenty of rogues still in the motor trade, private sellers especially!

The important meet will be the 2013 SCUK meet. Venue and date TBC.

@ScottieJ

Chatting on two different forums about too different subjects is getting confusing! :D

That's really kind of you, the benefit of your experience will be greatly appreciated. Maybe it would just be easier if I came over to you anyway. If that's OK do you want to PM me where your workshop is?

That's cool about the other shows, will definitely be up for getting to some this summer.

@Jordi

Thanks for that. To be fair, a friend of mine who owns a garage has done the majority of work but like ScottieJ he's much more 4x4 oriented than me.

There are a lot of 4x4's down this way, and after seeing my SJ a whole bunch of my mates are getting tempted too...
