Two LJs?!! No not jealous at all. Did you do the boots on the steering link yourself or send them away somewhere, do you have any details? It’s something I’ll have to think about at some point.

Read back a bit, the steering was taken off, cleaned and repainted, ball joints packed with new grease and new booties put on. I have enough left if you want to do yours, they cost £12 for 4.

Did some stuff to P5 today, door cards on, rocker box off (will paint it blue..note another loose screw!) CB aerial is now on, a few more bits to do yet. Oh and the zombie light switch...

Just had a text from my mate Stu asking where the linking bars on the high steer kit are. Yet another cock up from Rob Stoor...how does this bloke make a living? His stuff maybe top notch but as he sends bits out in random doses I have yet to verify any of this.

I won't bother typing all the swear words going through my mind but I think you get the general idea.

Twat. (mild one)

So yet again I've emailed the git.

Fucking unreal (oops) from a so called engineering company.

Might send all the stuff I have back and find another company making this kit. Ladaman knows what I'm talking about!

P5 bits getting done, I found a blue that almost matches the body and painted the rocker box, and a few other bits too. Useful tip for cleaning out washer bottles and the like...a couple of denture cleaning tablets and boiling water...shifts nearly all the dirt out lol. I also covered the manky blue stuff with insulation tape, matches everything else now.

Tried moving the latches on P6 and the doors close a bit better...still not spot on as yet.

There's a custom made floor panel in the rear of P5 so I took it out and made a template so I can make another, and I finished my little binnacle with the dials in it!

It's on. Had to take the air filter off to fit the hose and jubilee clip, bit of a faff but looks so much nicer now.

Cheers Aaron!

Done many many rocker box covers over the years and it may sound odd but plain old car spray paint works just fine, with primer first, no need to use high heat stuff. Only thing is do not use any lacquer, this will peel right off! Oh and make sure the box is spotlessly clean, natch :brows:
