so twiss, where did you get those led headlights from? I'm really keen on those, they will be brighter as well?
It's not a question of how much you spend on your suzuki, but when your money will run out

Not worth the extra 100kg for 6 less HP and 9 more ft/lbs :P
You'd be right, except it makes 144lb-ft of torque, not 109...

And I think that they're more like 250kg all up inc intercooler etc, aren't they?

Still, having driven Donkeychomp's (8v, I believe) Vitara, I have to say the 1.6 is a massive improvement on the 1.3, it's vastly less work than a derv (although not quite a straight swap) and most people who swap in diesels say that it ruins the handling - too much weight up high and forward.

I want a derv. Really love the lazy way dervs drive (loads of low down torque) but the gearing in an SJ doesn't suit really. It's just too short. I wish it wasn't, the TD in my Yaris would be awesome in an SJ (90hp, 140ft/lb, tunable to 115/190 apparently, and all up 100kg inc turbo and intercooler) but you'd need 4200rpm for 70mph, and they don't like that at all. 2500rpm gets me 70 in the yota. A 1:1 high t-case (Hilux, for example) would work, but that's *more* work and cash!

Or you can find diesel diffs, but rocking horse teeth and pope's pooping in the woods etc. Might still be too short as well.

Im going to get it outside with the fixed roof on tomorrow, wash it and get some decent pics.
Unfortunately there isn't enough space or good light to get decent pics while it's in the garage :P

It has emerged from the garage!!!! Admittedly some bits still to do, like the petrol tank for example haha!
Just wanted to get the roof on today and get it outside. Was going to give it a wash but its thunderstorms here this afternoon so will wash it tomorrow instead :D

Can see the LED headlights a little better
