To stop the tinworm getting any worse before I get around to sorting it out...Jordi wrote:Do i dare ask what the gaffa tape is for?
Yeah, I feel like a right plonker for not sorting those things out *before* the MOT.andyrew wrote:Not a bad fail list Dude.

And yes, that bodywork is a royal mess!
Thinking of rebodying, or at very least getting new rear quarters to weld in. But that's low on the priorities list.

Re: Anton's build
Some bits (the bits with the ductape) are a bit rotten.
The rest of the dents add character, but the vehicle is a bit embarrassing for the gf right now, it should be tidied up a *little*...

Re: Anton's build
I got a shed load of rattle cans of grey. 20 of them. I'm thinking of just sanding back, throwing a little filler at it, then spraying it. Doesn't need to be perfect, just less embarrassing for the poor gal!

Dents add character
Insert example A.....Tim hardy If I keep my SJ I'm sure it would one day look similar to this

Re: Anton's build
When I pass an MOT (medical one) bring it here and we can do it in a couple of days.
If it ticks over...leave it

Re: Anton's build
I don't mind the dents, it's just that I can't always get the Yaris out to pick up the gf, and she's a little embarassed by my rustheap. I like it, but I can kinda see why she would like it to be a bit tidier!
Ultimately I would like to build up a Jimny to replace the Yaris and the SJ. Although when I say "replace" the SJ, I don't plan on selling it - I'm hoping that my brother will tax/MOT/insure it and go offroading with me.
But that's a few years off, so in the meantime, I plan on doing some minor tarting up.
Alex - might just do that! After the Yaris is sorted...

I love Tim Hardy's sj!
it started out super clean, and now the only straight thing on it is the axles and rollcage

It's not a question of how much you spend on your suzuki, but when your money will run out
