Cheers from Suffolk
Cheers from Suffolk
Evenin everyone, my name's Mitch and I've just moved into the area from Germany. I've a '91 Samurai named Samus II, and an 02 WRX for my daily/track car. This is the second Samurai I've owned -- I had an 88 one (named Samus, hence the II on the current. I'm very creative, you see) about 6 years ago, she made it to 500k miles before I sold her for something better for the horrible Southern California freeway commutes to and from work. I've regretted it ever since.. but now I've got a new one to tear down and build back up.
Here's Samus:

and the two of them together:

I'm currently gutting her and swapping in a turbo diesel motor from a 1989 VW golf TD-- it's just about a direct fit, which is lovely. I'll also be stripping all the rust off her and restoring/repainting everything. It's going to be a long journey, but I'm excited about it. She was in the garage for all of ten minutes before I started...
Build thread coming soon.. hope to see some of you out there!

to the club.
You can't beat a Sammi soft top.
Not that I'm biased in any way.

Just on the cusp of Norfolk, in Brandon. It's a bit country, but it looks like there are plenty of trails around here.

You've got Thetford Forest, My parents used to live in Mundford. Once my SJ is done we'll have to go out
Re: Cheers from Suffolk
I was putting around there in the Subaru last weekend, getting a feel for the area and exploring some of my options-- there are a lot of trails that are gated, but there are plenty more that aren't
