I'm slowly prepping the vit lump to bung in the tin top.
It was an spI lump so has the rather substantially sized
Exhaust manifold. Am I right in thinking that this manifold
Clashes with the chassis leg?
I'd like to keep the vit manifold but is their much difference between
The 1.3 manifold internally?

Re: vit lump manifolds
1.3 is slightly smaller i think.
Mine runs on 1.3 intake and exhaust. You've seen how it goes.

Re: vit lump manifolds
I ran my 8v engines with a 1300 manifold and exhaust and it worked well... I did find that you get more power with a less restrictive backbox... straight through

Re: vit lump manifolds
A smaller exhaust will probably increase the scavenger effect and give you more low down torque.
That's what I'm telling myself about the 8v I'm (eventually, maybe) going to put in with a 1.3 intake and exhaust...

Re: vit lump manifolds
I ran the 1.3 exhaust manifold, surprisingly the ports on the manifold were a good match to the 1.6 carb head.
