hi all

I have a Samurai 1.3 8v single point injection model (1995), does this model have fuel pump in the tank?

And if I wan't to change it to external electric fuel pump, what has to be done?

Pretty sure no SJ has a fuel tank pump, normally a mechanical pump, but again cant comment on the injection model. Fitting an electric pump is not too hard. Use a low pressure Facet pump hooked up to the ignition. Your fuel feed line goes into that, i was running a hiff44 at the time so just left the fuel return hanging.

Probably best to wait for someone who knows more about this model to come and comment, but im 99% sure there isn't a pump in the fuel tank.

Id be willing to bet that most people have never seen an injection samurai tank, they are getting to be rare as rocking horse shit nowadays

Yes and I want one to save me modifying a carb tank

Also having an injection samurai be very careful with your indicator stalk.... from what i remember the injection sammy has a different stalk and the carb one won't fit on it!!!

Gypsy King's were only injected from 2000 onwards so there wont be many places to get them from, most countries only have the earlier gypsy and gypsy king. I think the cost of shipping would not make it worth it.
