What do people think about the idea of going on the 30-31st of July, and then dovetaling it right into the Seven Sister's meet? I really don't want to drive to Wales twice in one year. Love Wales, just hate driving there.

I may spend the week, actually. Starting in Snowdonia, make my way down slowly, exploring the welsh lanes and stuff.

Tenting, I think. No firm plans at the moment!

I'm up for this. Would have to double check dates. What's the seven sisters meet?

I think the plan is evolving into:

Drive up on the 25th, stay in Snowdonia/north wales from the 25th until the 29th, drive to Strata Florida for 30th/31st, then on to Seven Sisters for the 1st/2nd of August j33p event. *Probably* tenting it the whole time, but that's not set in stone.

He'll ye I want to do both of them. Didn't recognise the name, I just remembered it as j33p.
I love snowdonia but will be there in my camper later in the year so I might just meet around the 29th and come down to strata florida and seven sisters with you if thats ok?

That's perfectly fine, buddy. I don't think I want to try to tackle SF alone, the rest of the trip is going to be relatively tame. You just have to be really careful of the river crossings, apparently. Some poor girl died when the guy driving flipped his Disco in a river. Don't know details, but he pleaded guilty to dangerous driving, so perhaps it's less the trail being dangerous than the driver, but still - makes me feel that it's a bad idea to try to tackle it alone.

I'd think (having never been greenlaning before) that it's a bad idea to try to tackle any greenlane alone, come to think of it!

Iv done quite a lot, some stuff by myself too. I guess you just have to know your limits. I like to try awkward stuff but only if I have a way of getting out of that tricky situation.

With mine being diesel river crossings aren't too bad and the extra weight helps, plus I got a lot of torque for pulling/towing if anyone's in a tricky situation them selves and need a tug.

The pics of SF I wouldn't try it alone, I know Wales quite well and the biggest issue is how remote you can get with no phone signal in emergencies. Cb radios are a very good idea.

Yeah, I think I'd prefer it if there were a couple of vehicles with us, but as long as I waterproof my engine I think we'll be ok. My SJ is pretty capable.

I have a CB, I just have to get the darn thing to work properly, I've never actually used it and I think I need to tune the Ariel or something with the SWR meter.
