Hello from Suffolk
I never thought about getting one of these having had the power of a 2.7 td Maverick, but she was up for sale at a giveaway price when I needed a car in a hurry and what a surprise I had.
Ok, she's 21 years old, noisy transmission, the clutch is high on the pedal, she has emulsion in the oil which I think is down to the 2 mile a day journey the previous owner did (and I don't do much more myself) but she has no severe loss of coolant in the expansion bottle.
The 1.6 petrol manually operated choke engine starts every time and the steering is perfect. MPG is a bit of a shock, I just wish the LPG tank had not been removed but as all the other gubbins are there, I may see if the engine still runs on gas one day.
She is great fun to drive though and does everything I ask except for a big shop in the luggage area, all I need to do is get used to the short backside when reversing.
I may get brave enough to get muddy tyres and join you peeps for a bit of weekend fun.
Not sure if she's up to pulling my 2 berth caravan as it's a very close match weightwise not the suggested 85% so may be the tail wags the dog, if not the tent will come into play.
