I need to replace the glowplugs on my 2006 ddis and was wondering if there is a helpful guide or how to anywhere on these forums?

There seems to be a few things to remove before I will even be able to see them!

Any help or advice would be appreciated

Hmmm thanks for those, looks like an ohms test might be worthwhile before buying new glowplugs... And it does sound a bit of a tricky job to replace these, especially the back one. I think I'll take a look and strip down so far until I can see whats involved.

Apart from the post you gave which refers to the meter giving a "beep" during the ohms test, is there a reading on the meter I should be looking for ? 0.5 ohms or whatever ( my meter doesnt beep )

Cheers

K

I've put this together. I had no idea they are such a pain to get to just for testing. All because of that dam cover :argh: .
To be honest you need to know somebody who stocks the glow plugs and somebody who's willing to go get them if needed, either that or your have to pull it apart twice.
Just be careful you don't snap any plugs off :bawling:

Just for comparison I popped into the local Suzuki dealer Fawdingtons in Hexham and asked for a price to replace the plugs...

£200! As they would supply the plugs at £20 each and it would be two hours labour.

Right, wheres me spanners then?
