Hi, was wondering what the prop lengths are for a fat propped sj410 front and back props?
Also will 413 ones fit a 410 or are they longer?
And are there variations of different spline counts on the intermediate prop which goes to the gearbox for a 410?
Just trying to buy some props and the breaker doesn't know what ones he has so I thought I'd tell him the measurements.
Any info is a appreciated
Pete

Spline counts are all the same on intermediate props. There's 2 different lengths though as the earlier 410 4 speed boxes are shorter.
413 and samurai props are around 25mm shorter than 410 props.
I've got an unfinished list of prop lengths somewhere, I'll find it

Cheers Scottie,
So a 410 front prop should be 717mm compressed length. But what about the rear prop as that's not on your table?

I have a set of skinny props and the intermediate prop won't fit the output on a 5 speed 410 Santana gearbox as the output shaft is too big in diameter.

Sorry, spline count is the same on all fat intermediate props that should have said.
Without measuring some props in the workshop I couldn't say.
If I get a chance I'll measure some this weekend if that's ok?
The fat 410 props should be the same lengths as the skinny 410 props I think.

Thanks Scottie, i've got a full set of skinny props for my other sj410 so i'll measure them and see how they compare.

One last question, can i change the flanges on a skinny prop t box to suit the larger prop bolt spacing by simply bolting on the bigger flange, or are the splines different?
Thanks,
Pete

Flange splines are different for the really skinny props (look like maccy d's straws

)

what year is it? some of the crossover 410s had skinny props but with the later style tbox i think so there is a chance that you can swap the tbox flanges.
