Engin revs like mad

I have just bought a Sami it drives really well and everything works apart from one major problem when I turn on either the head light or heater the engine revs like there is no tomorrow

yeah they do this its to compasate for the alternater to add charge to the bat when lights,heater is on you can stop it by a wire on the inlet manifold i think its the green 1

It should only "pick up the pace" slightly when you turn the lights on. And you should find that when you turn them on, the revs will drop, then build up and over what they originally where.
