Hello all.
Recently purchased a used Suzuki SX4 2016 diesel and sadly I've been having some trouble with it so I'm currently doing battle with the dealer I bought it from.
One of the issues I'm having is that the DPF regen warning is coming on at least once every other drive, to be clear this is the warning in the center of the dash display that say "drive to regenerate the DPF" not the dedicated DPF warning lamp. Generally I do a 2x 20min commute daily that can be stop start, but I've also been doing at least one 30-45mins motorway drive a week. The dealer did a static regen on the DPF about a month ago but the warning still keeps appearing.
My question is, does this warning come on at regular intervals regardless of the condition of the DPF or is it running off sensors indicating there is something wrong with the DPF? The manual is not clear on this.
Cheers

DPF Regen warning
Re: DPF Regen warning
Tbh it sounds like you are just doing too many short journeys. It can take quite a long time (30-45mins) just for the dpf to get up to temperature and then it needs the time to actually regenerate (10-30mins)
It sounds like it would be better for you to have a petrol car if nearly all your driving is short journeys.
