snorkal on su carb
is it possible? sot an su with pancake airfilter.can i fit a snorkal?was going to make one myself.
Re: snorkal on su carb
Het matey! welcome back to the forum! depending on how the k&n is fitted you should be able to just take the filter off and then attach the snorkel to the flange that the k&n was attached to. you can then just fit the k&n on to the top of the snorkel. however i prefer going from the carb into an air box with a panel filter and then have the snorkel coming off the air box that way the filter wont be out in harms way and soaking up all the rain we get in this country!

yea thats how my snorkel was set up.. pipe off su into original airbox using a normal filter then pipes out through the wing an up to the roof. However after my last trip to minety4x4 i found my airbox wasn't sealed and was full of mud and water some of which had been sucked on into the carb so im gonna have to seal it up properly for next time
if in doubt, FLAT OUT!

cheers all,i dont have the standard airbox so will try and find a random one from work or a scrappy.
Re: snorkal on su carb
there's also sometimes a drain hole on the bottom of the air box so seal that up too
