add a leafs

Post by chrisj410 » Wed Dec 29, 2010 10:54 am

If I fit the add a leaf to my sj 410 do I need to fit longer shock absorbers or will the standard length be ok?
Which brand would be best to go for?
And are llama 4x4 the only company that do the add a leafs?

To maximise your leafs, longer shocks (1-2" will be needed)

You can buy shock extensions for the standard shocks

What your saying is pretty much true, but in practice Its worth going for the +2" because as standard the leaves are pretty flat. so you end up putting more curve than normal

Just adding to Luke, the fronts are flat as standard. The rears should have a curve on them. The add a leafs will effect the front more than the rear, but it will sit level. Beware, they are stiff :smokin:

I was going to say that, but then I started thinking that sj's use the same size shockers front and back! so as back leaves are pre curved it wouldn't need the +2"..... but saying that I think the add a leafs give more curve than normal, so that would explain why you need the +2" on the back as well
