I'm thinking of fitting a Vitara engine in my project 410. To make sure I get a good running engine I think buying a whole Vitara is the best idea!
My question is, as I also need a gearbox, do I buy a 413 gearbox and conversion plate or just use the Vitara gearbox that will come with the vehicle?
I can see the bigger clutch being an advantage.
Can I do this? Does it affect gearing? What modification is required to get it in there?
Thanks guys!

You can use the vit gearbox like scottie has but you will need to adjust the gearbox crossmember to suit, and scottie also had to chop a fair bit out of his transmission tunnel, but that may have been just to get it up as high as possible...
