Re: the no dosh LJ revamp
one other great thing to do is this
It's not a question of how much you spend on your suzuki, but when your money will run out

That's awesome! Love it! If mine was a shiney, I'd do that, but with chrome lettering/detailing.

that's simply painted black, and then I just knocked the paint of the raised lettering and lines with a file, bringing up shiny aluminium

Few more little jobs done, got the horrible mud flaps off and sanded down and resprayed the rock sliders...put on the aerial, but I need the little clip that holds it on...CB cable now on P6, and a ic of the East Peak...then went out for a bite, can you spot the mistake?

Re: the no dosh LJ revamp
Almost finished with L5. Just need to put the centre caps on, new oil cap and the rubber mats (as yet unmade).
I made the rear door card and self tapped it into place, looks factory. Decided the wheels need new bolts as the old ones are very rusty, tried cleaning a few up but wasn't happy with the result. Off to do some P6 work at my mates tomorrow...little things like wiring up dials etc, and design the front winch bumper too...I have an idea about that!

Re: the no dosh LJ revamp
I don't know much about designing winch bumpers, but I'd say that as long as the tray and fairlead is strong and the chassis mounts are strong, the rest really really needs to be as light as possible.
Now off to teach some grandma's how eggs are sucked.

Re: the no dosh LJ revamp
It's going to be fairly light as the front winch is only a 3000lbs one. Don't need anything heavier over the front end as I have the monster one going on the back! If I do a decent enough sketch I'll post it here, but it's going to look cool....

Re: the no dosh LJ revamp
New dials are in, only the volt meter wired up as yet...and only 8.5 volts? Hmm. Further investigation is called for, bad earth probably she has a ton of them. Stereo works as well now!
