Re: Just joint the sj club
Welcome to the club
Your zook looks a lot like one I have met recently in Malta haha
One quick point, I would take a look at the spare tyre mount on the back door... sometimes when you put a big spare on it can be a bit too heavy and damage the tailgate

Yeah, my 31" spare did 2 things - made it impossible to see out the back, and destroyed my rear door...

Nice Zook Welcome
Re: Just joint the sj club
Very nice Zuk! Love the wheel arches and colour. Are the arches from LR? By the way my back door is also damaged by spare wheel and would not close properly...

Re: Just joint the sj club
Yes they are landy arches. Any ideas on a way to keep the spare were it is but add strength to existing bracket. What part is it that actually breaks, hinges or the door itself?
I'm out on my first proper day off roading this Sunday so should have to good photos coming soon and some feedback on handling?
Also one other question. Rolling over without a cage? What happens? Is the exsisting roll bar strong enought not to kill me haha?

It is more likely to just fall on its side than actually roll unless you are on a steep hill where it can physically roll down it.

I've tipped mine over before.... only went onto its side though... it did rip the soft top but was otherwise OK
Then again my mate rolled his one all the way round and then onto its side!

With mine, it actually started to rip the door and I had to use a strip of metal and some tex bolts to hold the door in one piece.Luke preston wrote:Yes they are landy arches. I broke a window and crumpled a little bodywork, but that's about it. Well, I say "I" did, I wasn't driving it! I'm the huge shadow standing at the top of the hill watching a mate of mine try to kill himself in my SJ...
