A star in a reasonably priced car

Post by djc » Mon Feb 15, 2016 10:45 am

Very big thanks to Andy for coming all the way down to show me how to fit a new clutch into my SJ, and doing most of the work.
The 'reasonably priced car' is his '86 Carlton with about 35k miles on it... do NOT see many of those around :)
Turned out there was loads on the old clutch and a good adjustment would have sorted the late biting - but the bearing was graunchy anyway. Took us a while because I spent the day learning a lot about everything SJ from Andy-expert.

Star bloke, very many thanks... and keep an eye out for a spare set of 410 wheels ;)
Straight n shiny '85 410 soft top.

Funniest time I had with andy was taking a vit engine out.... I got covered in coolant and he got covered in oil....
Then we craned an engine and vit gearbox into the back of my zook
