I'm going to have a look at a tin top body on Sunday but was wondering if you are allowed to swap bodies if it's on the road. The body has all the reg and log book with it but will I need a new reg as the chassis isn't original tin top.
Also I had a look for my VIN and it had been chewed in half by rodents that once nested in the sj, is there any other places to find it?
Thanks

Re: Soft top to Tin top sj
The VIN should be stamped on the o/s chassis rail under the front wheel arch, just behind where the steering box bolts up if not I believe it's also on the right hand side wall in the drivers side footwell (I think)

Re: Soft top to Tin top sj
Well, the SJ isn't really a daily driver, as such. I just want something I can drive around without a top or doors. I would like to do the Jago conversion really, but the fact is that both options are a bit unrealistic while my health is bad. So I'm *thinking* but not much else...ScottieJ wrote:whyyyyyyyyyyy???? tintops are wayyyy cooler!
