Elsie 2

Post by donkeychomp » Fri Jul 28, 2017 12:19 am

Yep another one. I really am a glutton for punishment. A while back I did some bike bodywork for a client and he gave me a UK frame, engine cases, forks, and wheels. So far it's taken me 6 months to get her to this stage. I had to buy a few bits, like the headlight, the radiator (a work of art in it's own right) side panels that were almost beyond repair (now repaired), and quite a few other bits. The wheels are in the LJ as tyres are going on tomorrow. Hoping to have this done circa 2020.

And a quick pic of my TZR250, completion date, never.

Nutter! You're a glutton for punishment, eh?

Loving that resto so far, looks great!

Few more bits done. The tail unit had a test fit, needs a decal and lacquer next. Got some clock cases too, they need work like everything else! Also bought some more cheap damaged side panels to restore and sell on. Need to raise some funds somehow!

Decals on the tail piece. I did get some amazing news today though. The guy I do some bike resto for has given me a finders fee for sourcing some parts. That fee is a petrol tank. Last one on Ebay sold for £700!!
