Pretty sure that's the 660cc turbo kei car version of the SJ.

The scoop is probably (probably) either for feeding the turbo, or for cooling an intercooler. Probably.

If you're interested, I could probably make a 3D replica of your LJ using photogrammetry, and print it out for you. You'd have to paint it though.

Anton if you could do that it would be amazing, always wanted a model of the LJ. What kind of scale would it be?

IIRC they brought out the Kei cars to get the "Jimny" into the small car class, by dropping the wheel arches and fitting a lower ET rim they lost a couple inches off the sides... much like i'm planning to do with mine when the rust is taken out the arches!

It's a complicated workflow, but yes, I think we could do that. Don't hold your breath though, it's something that'll take a while to organise (I have to come over with a camera, we have to find a big open space to take the required photos, etc etc) and touching up the resulting model could take a long time.

But it's something I think I could find interesting!

Come over any time Anton. Bring the missus, we can have a coffee and a chat. And when you get your SJ back...offroading methinks!
