I’m really pleased with how the rear chassis mounts turned out. Not 100% perfect but still well chuffed with them.

Need to go buy some hacksaw blades and a mitre block that will do 22.5* angles so i can make a start on the tray back.

First successful mitre cut. Only a test to see how it would cut and how accurate it is.

Not ideal using a mitre block, the block is quite wide so you only get a short stroke on the hack saw.

I do have a few option. One is paper templates made off a mitre block cut.

The other is to mark up a piece of 50x50 box section i have and make a mitre block out of that so i can get a longer stroke on the hack saw.

Screwfix had a Rage Evo saw on offer, 110v, so got that and a transformer for the same price as a 240v saw.

Cuts steel brilliantly, ideal for mitre cuts and getting a really nice straight cut.

It’s all on and tacked in place. Few tweaks to sqaure it all up.

Spare wheel seems to fit in ok.

Plenty of welding and grinding to do next.

Plenty more to do, thats roughly how it will look when done.

Few more tubes to cut and fit, spare wheel mount. Welding, grinding, painting, wiring, lights and more.

It does now look somewhere near how i envisaged it would when i started the build quite a while ago though.
