I have a nasty whine from the rear, i think its the shaft bearings

If you jack the rear up and spin the wheel, theres a nasty rumble and roughness, same as a wheel bearing noise

I just cant get the hslfshafts out i have no slide hammer

you could try undoing the bearing retainer plate but leaving the drum/wheel on and giving the wheel a good kick whilst lying on the floor (make sure the sj is not going to fall off the jack and axle stands when you do this though, we dont want a flat christoff :thumbdown: ) sometimes brute force and ignorance is the key if you dont have a slide hammer :brows:

Ha ha I see what you mean. Iv put the whining / bearing noise to bottom of priorities now unless it suddenly gets a lot worse.

I'm going to ask the local garage if I can borrow a Slide hammer. There pretty sound so might let me.
