I hate gauges that say "HOT" or "COLD"... how hard would it have been to write the actual temperatures on the dash?!

These are labeled ones with actual temperatures so thats good i guess.
But the hot cold gague as standard, its funny doesnt the car maker think that we know its hot, there is heat eminating from the engine bay :S .

On the topic of gagues my 406 has a water temperature gague and oil temperature gague. I find it hard to see the point in having oil temperature being shown as opposed to a turbo boost gague or oil pressure.

The only thing I'd fit an aftermarket oil temperature gauge to is an air cooled engine, like a VW camper or beetle.

After all, in those there's no water to measure the temperature with!

that makes good sense in an air cooled engine. But on a turbo diesel an oil pressure gague would be more important to know the turbos getting oil.
anyhow im off to get a micra radiator with an electric fan.
