Post by timpaton » Fri Dec 09, 2011 3:15 pm

Hi,

Does anybody know where the idle speed screw is on the standard Asian carb on a 89 413?

Cant find it, been staring at it a couple of times, in the dark, and the rain, with a torch, and i cant find it? Help?

Cheers

Tim

That's the best pic I could find. These carbs have an Idle up system that can cause problems when they go wrong, could you describe what your problem is as it could be something to do with that system?
Thanks

Yeah I'm sure everybody with these carbs has high idle issues especially when cold. Adjusting the Idle screw isn't going to cure it.

What is the idle up system you mentioned ?
