Re: winch
No, it would pull it up an incline or onto a trailer ok but if you need to get up a steep hill or get badly bogged down in mud its not going to do the job.
The lowest rating winch I have on an SJ is 8000lb although I've pulled out 2.5t bogged Landrover's with that
I've seen 6000lb winches on the rear of Sj's that seem to do a good job but I think going any lower than that would find you kicking yourself first time you get really stuck
If you go with a lower capacity winch then adding a snatch block for a double line pull will make a huge difference, they basically double your pulling capacity (and half the speed)

Re: winch
It all depends on what you aim to use it for
but for offroading I'd say no, its not powerful enough to get a well stuck Suzuki out.
An 1800Kg winch is at the top of end of what the big quad bikes use.
I've been offroading probably 25 years now and never seen anything under a 4000lb winch on a Suzuki

Re: winch
I've got two Champion winches on Suzuki's Ian, had them for ages and they work very well.
