Gentlemen, have the opportunity to buy one of these engines : Toyota 4AGE Engine 1600cc Inc. Gearbox ECU and harness.

Will it ft in my SJ413 (easy hard job) and is it a reasonable choice can I retain 4 wheel drive if I get it fitted.

Thats out of a mark 1 Mr2 right?

If so, its definitely possible! Rhino ray has done a few of them

I think he uses an adapter plate and the regular SJ gearbox and transmission, so yes you should be able to keep 4wd

Good little engine that, I have one in my MR2

If you can find an AE86 5 speed box from the old RWD corolla, they bolt straight up, meaning all you have to do is mounts and mini prop

It is what they did on the escorts before the bell housing got cheaper
