Hi and HELP

Post by philgdust » Wed Dec 19, 2012 9:40 am

Hi to everyone. I was looking for a small 4x4, and had settled on an Asia Rocsta, until I bid on this, and nobody else did.
It's an F plated 1989 SJ410, with just 51k on the clock. Been dry stored since Feb 06, but has rot in the floor, sills, and seems where the floor meets the inner sill.
I shall have a proper look when I collect it Sunday, but if anyone can give me any advice, I would appreciate it.
I know my way around cars, and I founded and am chairman of www.zastava-yugo.co.uk
Cheers

:welcome2: to :suzuki:club uk matey! Looks like a really straight sj410

Sounds like the usual places for a bit of rust on these, I presume if your into old cars you know how to weld? These aren't to bad to weld up but the panels are quite thin so I'd recommend using .6mm wire.

Everything else is about as to work on as it gets, they are really simple!

Hi and thanks for the advice.
Yes, very handy with all welding. I used to restore classic cars for a living.

Cheers

Might need some help with that. I hate forum's. My brain doesn't seem to work with them, as they are cluttered and disorganised in my head!!! But if you tell me how to do it, I will.
Should be collecting the car on Sunday.

Hi and :welcome:

If you know your way round a car you will have no problem with one of these.

To get a build thread started go to this section http://forum.suzukiclubuk.co.uk/vi ... .php/f,22/

then create a new topic for your thread.

have a look through some of ours to see what we mean by a build thread.

mine is in linked in my signature under "build thread"
