Post by Gardiner » Thu Dec 20, 2012 6:48 am

What is the timing process/settings for 1600 8v with a SU carb I have a timing light coming at the weekend so might get it sorted (Cross Fingers).
Thanks In Advance

Make sure the vac advance is located on the air filter side of the butterfly and set it 10 deg before tdc at tickover.

Or just dissconnect and blank off the vac advance while you set the timing, that's what I usually do.
