Gotta love it mind. We want a weekend of off road driving and petrol fuelled mayhem.

And the site criteria for this gathering is can we drink and set stuff on fire?

Well, when the HPOC boys hired it (ask 4x3 steve about it, he organised it all last time) we put up a barn sized gazebo (in the rain) and had a bonfire going the whole weekend (we didn't let it go out).

They actually have a lorry wheel rim that you're supposed to start the campfires in, but it blocked a lot of the heat so when it died down, we chucked that in a corner.

No-one seemed to mind.

The offroading has gotten a bit less challenging there over the years - first time round I nearly rolled my SJ - only put it on it's side, but it was on the side of a hill, a few more cm and the flat(ish) spot I landed on wouldn't have stopped me, and I'd have gone over and over. That hill is gone now, and the whole thing is a fair bit more tame - although the sloppy stuff stopped a stripped hilux with 35" boggers and twin lockers, so there's still plenty to keep people occupied!

First time around I had my sister's dog and a tiny tent. Second time around I had my brother's dog and a pikey palace. Wimp.

I wasn't there for that one, that's Scottie's Hilux. Classic scottie! :)

Yup, I know him and his gf. We've been offroading together once or twice - one of his wheels nearly came off after we went to Essex offroad last summer.

This year, he turned up to the HPOC meet in his gf's Corsa (I think it was a corsa) - although I can't really say much about that because I turned up in a turbodiesel yaris, towing a TINY caravan...

Anyhow, here's some vids. A vid of Scottie (HPOC Scottie, not SCUK Scottie...) driving my SJ around there a few years back (pre-putting it on it's side, which was the year after):

One I took of Peta (aka PK1) doing some rock-crawling at Avalanche Adventure (aka Sibbertoft):

And from his perspective:
