Brake master cylinder seal / rebuild kit

Post by Jordi » Mon Jan 28, 2013 2:25 pm

Any body know the part number and a stockist?

I've tried Brakes Int. and they reckon main stealer only.

Its been ooozing for about 6 years. Gets topped up every now and then. Figure if I'm gonna rebuild the calipers may aswell do this whilst i'm on. Saves bleeding it again later.

Cheers

The repair kits I've found cost more than a complete unit from brakesint. I have read that they often leak from the reservoir grommets. I see you have the earlier type and here are the part numbers. I have no idea if suzuki still keep any parts for them.

Cheers Darrell. 99% sure it is those two grommets when the reservoir sits in.

I'll try my main stealer see if they can help. I know the same grommets were also used on some Hyundai models so a scrap yard mission may also be on the books in a few weeks.

If i struggle it may just be a strip and clean and see how it goes.

Easiest option first as said in my build thread.

With in 5 minutes Stonacre had the exploded diagram on his computer. Two rubber grommets on the way.

Any chance of making a stickie out of this Scottie?

The pic made it so easy to explain to my dealer which parts i wanted. Most parts are still available apparently. Some are individual others are kits.

Didn't think £9.07 was too much of a robbery.
