It's more a date i could do with than anything. Location is a bit irrelavant. Its the one event i'm not missing this year. Just don't have it any later than August as the missus is due in September.

But Dan, Twiss and I were chatting about this in Southampton at the pub.

I'm thinking wagtail around August time maybe? But if anyone had any other suggestions for sites, they must allow on site camping and be quite central and easy for everyone to get to though ;)
It's a bit of a pain for me to get to, so I'd personally prefer something closer - but Sibber is pretty good because it's got the 4x4 course attached to it, it's *kinda* central (so more people can make it) and the facilities aren't dire.

Aren't great, but aren't dire.

If we do this, we need to arrange for a HUGE amount of firewood for a nightly campfire to hang out around - it beats the crap out of hanging around in the dark downing tinnies with people you can't see...

Piccadilly wood loads of places near that we could stay at. And probably the most central unless you go for a place near to London but doubt they will have camping or anything near.

Also the spares man mike harris is pretty close so most people could do a nice shop as well.

The most central?

Only a casual 24 hour (longer in a SJ) 1400 mile round trip if you happen to be one of our most northern members!

Most central? Most central in relation to Sussex, perhaps - but certainly not to the country as a whole.

Piccadilly Wood or Mud Monsters in East Grinstead would suit me MUCH better from a travel point of view, but less of the SCUK guys could make it because both of those sites are so far south.

MM in EG would make more sense that PW anyway, because Mark does camping/4x4 weekends now and then anyway. Loads of land to camp on, quiet, out of the way, and often includes night-time 4x4'ing too.

But as I said, I personally don't think either of them really make a good SCUK meet locale since they're just way too far south for many SCUK members.
