You obviously haven't fully qualified on your Suzuki basics yet. I recommend a sharper chisel and bigger hammer.turbo-tom wrote:I tried that on mine and cant get them damn things off.

Re: Any one need a job !
Really? You think that's hilarious? Because that's less than the national average wage. Many highly skilled workers earn more than that per day for consult/contract work (which is what you're offering).OllieSJ wrote:ROBBIE wrote:Yes I need a job. I need take home pay of about £350-£400 a week, outside is good for me but would like to be able to get inside in the winter occasionally and as local as possible. Ta
Hilarious
Maybe not mechanics, but skilled machinists and engineers (which Robbie may very well be) *can* earn that kind of money on a per-day basis.
I'd say Robbie was offering you a damned reasonable rate there. Unless you're trying to say you think he's not worth paying for his time???
You know, no-one's picking on you, Ollie. They're just getting a bit tired of giving you *GOOD* advice that you don't want to hear, and then being brushed off as you go in whatever direction it was you'd decided to go before you even posted in the first place.OllieSJ wrote:Bye everyone have fun with your cars.
What you seem to want is for people to nod and go "Yes, Ollie, you're right, Ollie, that's a superb idea, Ollie" every time you open your mouth. That's not how the universe works.
I'm not trying to have a go at you, I'm trying to give you some advice here - stop and think before you post. I mean, what you said to Robbie was damned insulting (although I hope he's understanding enough to get that you're just young and you probably don't realise what you've done there).
He's not some unskilled monkey with a hammer. You want work done, he's offering his services (maybe or maybe not tongue-in-cheek) for a reasonable rate. If you don't want to pay it, fine - but to call it "hilarious" is the same as saying he's not worthy of being paid a fair wage.
How would that make YOU feel?

I think that sums it up there Anton. And yes the life of employment is not great at the moment. But its also something that's not to be find funny either.

I'm not gonna start on wages but that sums it up well Anton.
Although, if you have an unskilled monkey with a hammer could i borrow him. Bound to be better at doing the bodywork than me. Its starting to piss me off, mainly my lack of ability to weld. Didn't help when i ran out of gas either.
