Re: Anton's build
Yeah, I could probably knock up a half decent system, but I don't have the time/energy. So I bought one. And it has yet to arrive...
Still, got the rear lights (mostly) sorted today...
Still need to finish wiring up the fog light switch, and running the cable for the number plate light, and that's the lights finished. Then just need to hang the exhaust and finish the brakes (pleeeeeease mr. postman, sort me out tomorrow!!!)

If my exhaust/brake pipes turn up in time, my retest will probably be Thursday...

Re: Anton's build
Ok, today was supposed to be:
Get the rear fog light and rear number plate light wired up, fit the new exhaust, paint the welded up bits with bitumen paint stuff, fit the brake caliper on the right rear, ready for tomorrow.
The lights should've been a half hour job (they were fitted and wires run, just needed to find the right places to splice in, solder up the joints, and boom - done) but it turns out that the headlights are all constant live (all 3 terminals) one of which switches to a negative depending on where the headlight stalk is positioned.
I wired everything up in such a way as to make everything work just fine. Well, it would've if the headlights did what I thought they did.
I spent half the day sorting out why that wasn't working instead of getting on with fitting the exhaust, finishing off the bullbar (still needs the ends welding shut - just noticed that yesterday), finishing off the brakes, and then tomorrow was supposed to be:
Bleed the brakes, take it for an MOT.
Unfortunately I have health problems. If I overdo things, I'll have a seizure and that'll be the end of any plans to go away for the weekend, so first thing tomorrow, I'll ring Halfords and cancel the MOT.
I'll still come to wagtail, but it won't be in the SJ!
So close, and yet so damned far!!!!

Don't give up. Take it steady. Book an MOT as late as you can. If its not ready half and hour before then you can cancel it.

Re: Anton's build
The problem is, lads, my health isn't super - I got a bit of the shakes today, energy levels very low - I won't make it at all if I don't ease up and rest a bit.
I'd like a new nervous system, please. Then this won't be a problem - anyone got one I can install tomorrow?
