have just bought a 2000lb winch without remote for cheap. my plan was to try it out on the suzuki when it's up and running, as an experiment, as I am very curious how far I can actually get with it, even if I have to double it up.
what you people's thought about? by the way, I'm never evr going to rely on it, as I know I will get into trouble if I do

It's not a question of how much you spend on your suzuki, but when your money will run out

Bit underpowered in my opinion. For and SJ a 6000lb is about right.

It will help if you get a little bit stuck, but I wouldn't use it if you're half buried in mud!
The weight of the SJ being stuck will put more than 2000lb worth of weight on the cable and you may run the risk of snapping the winch cable which is dangerous enough!
I completely agree with Jordi on this one... 6000lb min really, if you're going to be getting properly stuck on a regular basis I would go for 9000lb
Although saying that I've recovered myself a few times with a 1400lb hand winch!!!

A 2000lb winch would be sufficient to pull your SJ onto a trailer.
I really wouldn't be doing much more than that with it.
