Re: Won't start
My are said it could be head gasket you got any other ideas of what other gaskets it could be pal?
Re: Won't start
Just been told because the vehicle has been standing for a while the cylinder walls cuz of got a slight bit of surface rust of them and from when iv cranked it over it could of damaged the rings which may be the cause of it not starting

It's a possibility if it's been a little bit seized.
Did you pour oil into the cylinders to soak and turn it over by hand first?

I dint no should I ?
Re: Won't start
Is it all timed up correctly, and all the HT leads in the correct order? It's easy to get the timing 180degrees out on these engines.
Re: Won't start
Done a compression test and everything seems fine by the way sounds stupid but for spark plug number which is the front of the engine nearest the cam belt or near the gearbox
Re: Won't start
I don't know if the timing is out pal could this stop it from running? And I put the ht leads back in order and it dosnt want to fire at all but when I put them back to how they were it wanted to start

Re: Won't start
If the timing is just a couple of degrees out it won't run.
Fairly sure no. 1 is the front no. 4 the back.

Re: Won't start
Okay cuz the timing was only done 8000 miles ago how would I know if the timing was out when I line the marks up?
Re: Won't start
Had mine working fine earlier and just dropped out on me whilst I popped out. Need to take a look at the starter motor I think on mine but had it recently refurbished so not too sure
