MOT time is coming up again :(

The place to socialise, and relax, if it doesn't fit into anything below it fits here, so tell us that joke, or share that story of your last off-road escapade, but remember new comers the virtual drinks are on you!

MOT time is coming up again :(

Post by twiss » Thu Mar 27, 2014 2:59 pm

Well it looks like I will be taking my zook off the road for a month... I can't really drive at the minute anyway :(

Tax is up in 4 days so it's going to go and hide in the garage while I run over it and do everything I want for the MOT (and more...)

- Fit rear discs (still not done yet lol)
Still need to get disc holders turned down, cut the second caliper mount down to size, weld them on, find another brake hose, and make up the brake pipes
- Replace rear axle oil seals
- Fit 410 prop brake
- Fix the dash cluster (soldering...)
- Fit a new speedo cable
- Replace broken sidelight (the rear position lights are currently powered by the foglight lol)
- Replace fuel tank (might have a working gauge again!!!)
- fit bucket seats
- make up some new carpet
- make some kind of speaker boxes

more i forgot about

- fit a new ignition barrel
- connect my other 2 dash gauges (air/fuel, voltage)

Then crack on! Start at the top and work your way down the list (but maybe re-arrange the list into order of importance first)

If you have carpet after an off road day you can take the carpet out and most of the mud comes with it ;)

I dont have an outside tap at my flat... so if i could just take the carpet out at the petrol station and jetwash it will reduce the amount of buckets of water I have to carry down the stairs ;)
