Hey i thought you said the UJ's were all free!!
The input shafts UJ's can do that, they only have a slight angle of movement whilst in use, so often sieze outwith that range of movement.
Its probably been put back on in a different position so is now trying to move in a direction it never previously did.

Where's the best place to get them? And pretty quickly lol....is it just a case of measuring the outside of the bearing cup to determine what size it is?
I thought they were lol its probably the one direction I didn't check

If you're needing to use the car quickly I would just refit it in the original position till you get one

You can't.... I'm talking bollocks!!
Just did myself a drawing to explain it and i'm wrong, it should still turn ok whatever way its facing.
So unless it actually seized or broken I don't think thats the problem

Where abouts are you Chris, I have new UJ's sat on the shelf (25mm ones). I only paid a tenner each for mine direct from my works bearing dealer. White box one's that I thought no way, but he assured me they are good and that many of the well known brands re-box them. Well I fitted 4 a couple of years back and they seem fine.

I'm in Norfolk, near Norwich. I can't seem to get the old one out, I've managed to remove only 1 bearing cap and that's it. Im actually on the look out for a complete shaft now!

Get the heatgun/blowtorch on the bugger, or PM Mike Harris, he's normally breaking a SJ or two.
