What size rims and tyres for this stance??!!
Hi All,
Tried tracking down this SJ to find out what rim and tyre sizes it has as I really like the stance but couldn't find anything!! Does anyone have an idea of what the combo might be? You can get the alloys in 15x7, 16x8, 17x8, haven't got a clue about tyres though!! Any help would be most appreciated please...

They look like they are around 17x8" at a guess
maybe a 225/60r17 tyre?? works out around 28x8.86" maybe a 225/55...27x8.86
Thats my best guess anyway
These are 235/75r15 (29x9.25") on some narrower wheels with less offset and stock suspension, seem to fill the arches a bit more

I can get some 17" alloys in these fitments, what do you think would be the best offset for to get the right 'stance' like the photo's at the top of the page? Thanks in advance...

That's a photo of a Sammy taken in 2002, it's on 17's. Found it on Google. Know little about it besides the name of the owner - Solomon Yang.
I think it looks pretty good, but not as good as the sammy in the op.
Edit - might be the same sammy at different stages of its life? Same colour, same wheels, same sticker by the fuel filler neck...?

Do you think the offset would be 20 or 35? Also what is standard offset on normal rims? Oh, all the questions!!

Re: What size rims and tyres for this stance??!!
I *think* the standard rims are 5.5J ET0.
I know for a fact that 6x139.7 won't fit though, we're all 5 stud in Zuki land. So the 5x139.7 is your only real option.
As for backspacing, 31.75mm of backspacing puts the inside edge of an 8J right where the inside edge of the factory setup would be, so I think that most of us with 8J's run 35mm of backspacing. I think.
If I'm wrong about any of those statistics, I'm sure ScottieJ will be able to correct me!

Thanks for all the input much appreciated... Just got to find the correct pcd wheel with a 35 offset now, the search continues.... Does this look right too, just pulled off the front and rear covers but no hub lock thing?! Is this right, anything to worry about?
