So i have just bought another SJ thats has been well built.
The only issue I have is with the Carb its got a SU on it and the lad that built the SJ said it had the correct Spring and needle etc, but after purchase he admitted it was wound down to get through emissions and there is a flat spot at 2300rpm unless you have the choke out a bit.
What will be my best route to go with it has anyone else had issues with emissions ??

Mine runs fine on whatever needle and speing it has in.
You can buy all the SU parts from Burlen. This links shows which needle and spring match different engines and carbs. http://forum.suzukiclubuk.co.uk/vi ... =13&t=2249

Great stuff its been years since I have messed with SU so its time to have a look it runs great when you get past the flat spot but I think it is not quite right as it smells a bit fuely

Re: SJ 413 Fuel Carb
I've found that colourtune works really well for getting an SU to pass emission whilst having no flat spots at all.
