Re: Winch Bumper
When lifted up in to place it does not go in for the 2 bits sticking out on front of chassis, even if it did no holes line up to anywhere, there is nt any holes in chassis rails or anywhere else really will take more pics tomorrow

Re: Winch Bumper
The 2 brackets, did they come with the bumper? They look like they are bolted to the chassis, are they in the right place?
If both the above take them off, put them on the bumper and then see if they line up anywhere. They might need swapping about and trying different sides and that.
Also bolt through each chassis leg not just one side of it and weld some tubes in there for strength

Re: Winch Bumper
The brackets you had on the front of the SJ are for the original bull bar to mount.
Looking at the pics its designed to fit either side of the end of the chassis rail but i have a feeling it requires the original bumper mount bar, the round tube on the front of your SJ with the front panel bolted to it, cutting off flush with the side of the chassis rail.

Re: Winch Bumper
Those 4 bolts should line up with the holes in the end of the chassis. But the round tube needs cutting off flush to the rails.
Not sure what you would do about the body mounts though.

Re: Winch Bumper
Right more pics might give yous a better Idea. On my own at the mo so just propped it up in place near enough. Took those brackets off as they were in the way.
I might have to pay someone to fit this, as I cant weld.

Re: Winch Bumper
Right had another look and dont think this is gonna fit without a lot of welding extra bits and pieces on which I just cant be faffed with.
I can see how it should go , but looks like someone has either cut part of the Chassis off or moved things further back.
Those brackets match up with Curve on bumper where it fits on to the round bar, but there's no way it would move up and fit in as Body Mounts are welded on , and could not be moved. Also Steering Box is right in the way too. I really think there is something missing from front end of Chassis.
Think we will have to go to plan B, we have another bumper that was in the back when it came, it matches up on chassis and brackets so will probably get it shot blasted and painted,
