best paint to use on axles?

Post by chan » Sun Jan 31, 2010 10:41 pm

hi there, i will be rebuilding my axles on my sj410 and it seems silly not to paint them while they are stripped and cleaned!

what paint do you prefer or recommend to use?

i maybe want just a gloss black paint or something spicy like yellow as my truck is black.

i used hammerite yellow on an old fiesta xr2 i had when i did the suspension ect it lasted about 2 years before peeling but it was only used about 10 times a year never taken out in the wet and garaged obviously.

so im thinking that paint wont last that long with water and muddy stoney green lanes to scratch it off!

any ideas please
