Hi peep's... On my 410 when i pull away i get a knock...it knocks again while engine breaks or when i apply the breaks after pulling away... After the first knock of pulling away i can go up the gears fine...but when engine breaks it knocks. A while ago i broke the two(ds) transfer mounts and replaced them with solid spacer's...could this have caused or be be the cause of my problem?
I have no mechanical insight but am always willing to do it my self! Any help or pointers would be great!

My mothers Discovery 300TDi produces a knock under braking and acceleration also.
It appears to be coming from Nearside (passenger) front suspension.
This may not help as Sj's are totally different, and if you're sure it's transmission, then this is irrelivant. However, possible check for loose bolts, bearings, perished bushes etc.
Hope this helps, though I don't know too much about Sj's, and this relates to a Disco.......I'll shut up now.
There's three ways of doing things:
The right way,
The wrong way
And my way, which is like the wrong way but faster.

disco could be one of the bushes on the radius arms or panhard rod bushes! or the shock tower could be loose?
