I am the proud owner of an SJ with a g16a 8valve fitted I need to replace the engine mounts and would like some advice on a replacement for the standard mount as the originals seem to break easily.
Is there a bolt in replacement that is a little more durable than standard.
many thanks gell

Re: engine mounts
I had issues with engine mounts when i put my 6.5 transfer gears in upgraded the tranny case mounts then the weak spot seamed to be the engine mounts - went through 2 lots in not much time!gell wrote:I am the proud owner of an SJ with a g16a 8valve fitted I need to replace the engine mounts and would like some advice on a replacement for the standard mount as the originals seem to break easily.

In the end i fitted these babies - no problem now and I did not get any noticeable increase in vibes - bit pricey but worth the investment.

Re: engine mounts
I'm still on stock mounts with my 1.6 16v. I've only broken 1 engine Mount since I was 1.6 8v 6ish years ago
