Re: Engine rebuild
I'm only in Newcastle, and I also have 2x 1.3 engines I would happily part with. 1 has a seized bottom end but the other was running fine before removal (though slightly down on compression). Between the 2 and parts from yours a good solid engine could easily be built. I may keep the oil pan and pic...

Re: Dropping the SJ
I was just about to throw a set of standards in the scrap bin.
You can have them for the cost of postage if you like?...

Tyres are never perfectly round or balanced, may not quite sit 100% centre on the wheel, and the valve's off centre with it's hole in the wheel. All wheel/tyre assemblies should ...

Re: Andy's LWB Zuke
Ha! Yes I welcome your jealousy with open arms! :hands: TIG's definitely the coolest right? If only I could convince my wife! But anyway, bit more progress today, and as I found out it was the most knackering job to do on your lonesome! Especially when you can't get the bloody bolts out of the rear ...

Re: Engine Rebuild Parts
Thanks for the offer mike, how much is the right amount? Though I wouldn't need the pistons and pins if it's the full kit you have. This is the reply I got from Kar Engines; Hi Andy, Thank you very much for your enquiry regarding the engine parts you require for the G16A. Prices as off below; HEAD S...

And then I finally ordered some wheels an tyres! DSC_0479.jpg And proceeded to start my virtual lift. DSC_0483.jpg DSC_0484.jpg Started to find where the rust was all hiding as i took off the inner arches! Rear's not too bad. Bit worse at the front where it joins the front panel behind the headlight...

Re: Andy's LWB Zuke
Then I finally got round to getting the TIG welder I always wanted! DSC_0468.jpg Welding Project No. 1 was to make a jack adapter for the axles... I treated this as TIG practice 101. (Done a lot of MIG and Oxy/Acet before but never TIG). Lots of nice different angles in this frame design so got some...

Re: Andy's LWB Zuke
Well, it's been a while!... Other commitments pushed this aside for a while but I'm back on it now. So I thought I'd give a quick update on what I've been up to; Firstly, the 1.6 engine refurb has turned into a complete rebuild! (why not eh?!) Currently all in bits being cleaned, everything's in gre...
